Tinadre Merchant Services has good news for you!  Our service processor, First Data has assumed ownership and management of your Discover Network Merchant Account.  Effective July 1, 2009 First Data will now provide all of the systems, technology and processing services for your Discover Network Card processing.  All of your customer support for your Discover Network transactions will now be serviced by Tinadre Merchant Services as it is for Visa and MasterCard beginning July 1, 2009. 

Effective July 1, 2009, Discover Network will assign your Merchant Services Agreement and Account to First Data. This letter will serve as Discover Network's formal notice to you that they are assigning your Merchant Services Agreement and Account to First Data.

This means that you will now have one statement for all of your Discover Network, Visa and MasterCard transactions and you will be able to use the same phone number for Discover Network authorizations as you use for Visa and MasterCard.  With one statement, one contact for customer service support, and faster funding, we hope to make Discover Network acceptance easier than ever before.

There are no conversions or changes necessary for you to continue to accept Discover Network Cards.  Simply continue to process exactly how you are today, we'll take care of the rest. 

Here are the many benefits and important information to note about your merchant account that will take place effective July 1, 2009:

• ONE Phone Number for all of your customer service needs.  Please use the following phone number 1-800-455-8868 effective July 1, 2009.  You will now call the same number for all of your Discover Network, Visa, and MasterCard customer service needs.
• ONE Authorization Number for all your authorization needs.  You will now be able to use the same phone number for Discover Network authorizations as you use for Visa and MasterCard.  Just call the Visa and MasterCard number you use today and you'll be able to receive assistance with Discover Network authorizations, too.
• If you are using a PC-based processing solution, you may want to contact your software vendor to confirm Discover processing with First Data.
• ONE Statement for all of your Discover Network, Visa and MasterCard transactions effective July 1, 2009.
• Same Time Funding - Your Discover Network funding will now be combined with your Visa and MasterCard funding.  In most cases this means you will receive your Discover Network funding faster.
• New Discover Network Program Guide (version Disc1112SPCNA_PG) - The Discover Network Program Guide containing your new terms and conditions for Discover Network transactions is enclosed for your records.   These terms will be effective July 1, 2009, and your submission of Discover Network transactions on or after July 1, 2009 will constitute your agreement to all of the terms and conditions contained in this letter and the Discover Network Program Guide. The following information is enclosed for your review:
  1. A new Discover Network Program Guide containing your terms and conditions for Discover Network transactions
  2. A Discover Network decal for your door

Processing Discover Network transactions on or after July 1, 2009 will constitute your agreement to all of the terms and conditions contained in this letter and the Discover Network Program Guide.
 
As a result of the transition, the Discount Rate, Chargeback fee, and Retrieval fee you are currently charged pursuant to your Merchant Application and Agreement with us for your Visa transactions will now be the same for your Discover Network transactions. The Discover Data Usage fee of $0.0075 per item will be passed through to you for all Discover Network Transactions.  Your Discover Network authorization and/or per item fees will remain the same as you are charged today.  The total cost of a particular transaction depends on how a transaction qualifies for certain interchange categories. Please note that as a result of these changes, specific rates and fees and your overall costs for accepting a Discover Network card may increase, decrease or remain the same – please refer to your prior Discover Network statements for a comparison.

Currently Not Accepting Discover

Tinadre Merchant Services has great news for you. We've eliminated the obstacles that have kept over 50 million potential customers away from your store.

Effective July 15, 2009, we will enable your business to accept Discover Network transactions along with the Visa and MasterCard transactions that you now accept, with the same merchant statement and at the same Visa rate you now pay. 

By adding Discover Network to your payment options there is nothing standing between you and new business. There are no changes necessary for you to begin accepting Discover Network Cards; you can simply place the Discover Network decal on your door and start accepting Discover Network Cards on July 15, 2009 in the same way you accept other major credit cards today.

These terms will be effective on July 15, 2009.  Processing Discover Network transactions on or after July 15, 2009 will constitute your agreement to all of the terms and conditions contained in this letter and the Discover Network Program Guide. 

Your rates and fees for Discover Network transactions will be the same as your rates and fees for Visa transactions (including but not limited to your Discount Rates, Transaction, Authorization, Chargeback and Retrieval fees) charged to you pursuant to your Merchant Processing Application and Agreement with us.   A Discover Data Usage Fee of $0.0075 will be applied to your account and charged for each Discover transaction effective July 15, 2009.
