 Rate and Fee Changes/Updates
The Card Organizations periodically review their interchange rate programs, modifying them as they deem appropriate.

Effective April 17, 2015*
MasterCard will increase the cross-border fee for U.S. currency transactions and non-U.S. Currency transactions.

Effective April 18, 2015*
Visa has increased the U.S. Acquirer International Service Assessment (AISA) fee for non-U.S. issued cards processing in U.S. dollars for credit and debit volume.

Effective April 18, 20158, Visa will increase the fee for non-U.S. issued cards processing in non-U.S. dollars on all credit volume; this change will reflect on your May statement received in June.

Effective April 17, 2015*
For all transaction volumes, Discover has announced there will be an increase in the Discover Acquirer Assessment fee for merchants entitled to the Discover Assessment fee. This is a pass–through fee. The fee will increase all Discover products.

Effective April 17, 2015*
MasterCard will increase the rates for the Full UCAF and Merchant UCAF programs by 0.10% for Core, Enhanced Value, World, World High Value, World Elite, Debit and Prepaid card volumes; merchants participating in these programs will see an increase for the card products listed.

Effective for chargebacks processed on or after April 12, 2014
MasterCard is launching a new product for Commercial Payments Accounts that will provide chargeback protection for business-to-business transactions. The procurement-to-pay in the business-to-business transaction normally includes a detailed purchase order, invoice, and receipt evaluation process that has been conducted by the buyers and suppliers, which eliminates the need for the same level of chargeback rules and protection that is currently available on existing commercial card products. As a result, MasterCard will consider certain chargebacks invalid if a one is received and it is identified as a MasterCard Commercial Payments Account.

Effective November 1, 2013*
A NYCE File Fee will be added to your account for all NYCE PIN Debit transactions regardless of the response code or the transaction type. 

Effective October 21, 2013*
MasterCard will implement a new Card Validation Code 2 (CVC2) transaction fee. We will charge this fee to your account for transactions acquired in the U.S. Region with the CVC2 (Three digit code on the back of the MasterCard issued card) included in the transaction for authorization and where the CVC2 response value equals "M" (Match) or "N" (Invalid/did not match). The fee will not be applied to Account Status Inquiry (ASI) requests.

Effective October 18, 2013*

Discover will be implementing a Network Authorization Fee per authorization. We will charge your account for this fee for each Discover authorization attempt taken on or after November 1, 2013.

Effective June 30, 2013*
MasterCard is increasing their Network Access and Brand Usage fee (NABU) for each U.S. acquired authorized MasterCard transaction (approvals and declines). This increase will appear beginning with your July month-end statement that you will receive in August.

Effective October 1, 2012*

MasterCard has implemented a new annual Acquirer License fee and Type III TPP (Third Party Processor) Fee. These new fees are based on an Acquirer's prior calendar year signature credit and signature debit volume total. As a result of these new fees, effective for MasterCard transactions processed on or after October 1, 2012, your account will be assessed a MC License Volume Fee on your gross MasterCard credit and signature debit sales volume.

Effective April 13, 2012*
Rates and qualification criteria for certain categories of Visa, MasterCard and/or Discover interchange are being changed, including certain categories of downgraded transactions. You may notice changes in your rates and in your relative qualification percentages as we implement these changes. Please review your merchant statement carefully to make certain you are aware of any changes.

Effective April 13, 2012*
Visa New Transaction Integrity Fee for U.S. Domestic Debit and Prepaid Card Transactions - Effective April 13, 2012, Visa will implement a "Transaction Integrity Fee" assessed to all transactionson. This fee will be added to your account and will be applied to all U.S. issued Visa Debit and Prepaid card transactions that are not Custom Payment Service (CPS) qualified. It will be on your April 2012 processing statement, debited from your designated settlement/direct deposit account on or after May 1st and will be billed monthly thereafter.

Effective April 13, 2012*
Discover Acquirer Assessment Fee Increase - Effective April 13, 2012, Discover will increase the U.S. and International Acquirer Assessment fee. The fee is applied to all U.S. and International Discover settled sales. This increase will appear beginning with your April month-end statement that you will receive in May.
